This role oversees the maintenance and repair of biomedical equipment to ensure it is safe, reliable, and available for patient care. Responsibilities include supervising maintenance staff, managing work schedules and equipment records, coordinating projects, supporting the department budget, and working with leadership and customers to improve operations.
Schedule: 40-hours per week
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Reviews work orders and preventive maintenance tasks to determine work priorities.
Schedules repair, maintenance and installation of machines, tools, and equipment by self-performance and delegation of work assignments.
Directs maintenance activities on biomedical equipment to provide the highest standards for safety, quality, and availability of medical equipment.
Manages CMMS database.
Coordinates special projects.
Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations. Directs training of workers to improve work performance and acquaint workers with Mercyhealth policies and procedures.
Confers with Leadership, customers and quality assurance staff to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of work performance and equipment.
Assists Manager in preparation of department budget and monitors expenditure of funds in budget.
The Supervisor is the department representative and liaison with internal customers.
Education and Experience
Associate Degree in Bio-Medical Engineering/Electronics or related degree or Military Bio-Medical related certification
In lieu of a degree, 2-3 years of direct Bio-Medical experience will be considered.
Certification and Licensure

PAY RANGE:
