RESPONSIBILITIES: 


• Build solution architecture and design for projects assigned. Develop data models, functional specifications and document technical design details 

• Engage with business analysts to understand business requirements and translate them to functional specification and technical design, ensuring full requirements traceability 

• Contribute to software development activities as hands-on developer on the complex modules of the projects 

• ETL and Data Ingestion from different sources into EAP for all the regions 

• Create process to automate the data ingestion, data analysis and validation after the ingestion. 

• Work with Big Data Operations on data ingestion and other project related releases 


QUALIFICATIONS 


• Application development experience through full lifecycle 

• Strong Software Development Lifecycle management experience, familiarity with Waterfall and Agile development models 

• Experience with Linux, UNIX and MS Windows application deployment platforms 

• Hands-on experience with Big Data technologies and must have worked on at least two big data projects for large organizations 

• Extensive experience with Hive, Sqoop, Impala, Datameer and Platfora. 

• Cloudera BigData developer certification is preferred 

• Hands-on experience with Oracle databases and very strong on data modeling and ETL 

• Working experience with teams spread across many countries and time zones 

• Good team player interested in sharing knowledge and cross-training other team members and shows interest in learning new technologies and products 

• Self-starter who works with minimal supervision 

• Strong communications skills.
