BI Engineer

Assist with all data migrations to warehouse(s) working in tandem with the tech team, tasks include: Scoping, design, testing, implementation, and communication/documentation. 

Work closely with the technical leadership team to translate business requirements into functional and technical design. 

Work closely with the Data Architect to produce the Conceptual and Logical Data Models. 

Develop applications and reports for standardized reporting to business units from the Gartner Data Warehouse(s). 

Assist the Business Intelligence reporting group when necessary on ad-hoc or systemic queries for analysis for executive level internal clients, business units and senior management. 

Assist in the creation of a robust regression test suite enabling proper data integrity and high availability. 

Lead data validation efforts working closely with QA team on project work as well as production bug fixes. 

Support all reporting and dashboarding data needs for Gartner’s end user facing data applications: Hyperion, Client Connect (Siebel), and OBIEE (Answers). 

Act as primary support for all datapoints in the data warehouse for end users as well as BI and Tech teams. 

1-3 years of extensive hands-on experience with all aspects of the BI/DW Life Cycle 

1 year of experience in one or more BI tools (Hyperion and/or Oracle OBIEE preferred) 

High degree of technical competency: Ability to read MS SQL for design phase, query analysis, and support for end users; Advanced knowledge of Hyperion Suite (BRIO); Advanced knowledge of Oracle OBIEE suite including Siebel Answers 

Ability to work with cross cultural, diverse, and geographically distributed teams 

Must be fluent in data modeling language and techniques
