Job description

Welcome to Ability Action Australia, where we help NDIS participants (0–65 years) get more out of life, more independence, more confidence, more growth, more wins.

Every day, we’re in the community helping people do life better… and honestly, it feels pretty epic.

As a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner, you’ll be a supporter, a strategist, a behaviour detective and occasionally the person who teaches everyone to breathe again after a meltdown.

Your work will be meaningful, hands‑on, and genuinely life‑changing for the people you support.

This role is based in Jindalee and surrounding areas, where you will support NDIS participants within the local community.

What you’ll be doing

  • Evaluating, developing & delivering evidence-based support plans
  • Creating meaningful goals using a positive behaviour support framework
  • Building capacity in the people who support our participants, families, carers, friends, support workers
  • Working alongside a brilliant multidisciplinary team
  • Championing the reduction (and elimination!) of restrictive practices

You’ll thrive with us if you:

✔ Hold a degree in allied health or a related field
✔ Have experience reading, implementing, reviewing or creating behaviour support plans
✔ Hold NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner status
Don’t yet have BSP registration? That’s okay- we can help you get there
✔ Have a genuine passion for disability support
✔ Have experience working with complex and challenging behaviours
✔ Love working with people and love writing (yes, there will be paperwork)

Why You’ll Love Working With Us

We look after our people - properly.

  • Flexibility: Enjoy a hybrid working model that combines the convenience of working from home with meaningful connection in the community.
  • Excellent remuneration: Generous salary, car allowance, laptop, phone + salary packaging
  • Work‑life balance: Work from home, the office, clinics or even your favourite café...choose what works best for you.
  • Career growth: Ongoing professional development, clear progression opportunities, and pathways across Ability Action Australia and the MedHealth family.
  • Culture: A purpose‑driven, supportive, and uplifting team - full of good humans who have your back.
