We are currently seeking a Lead Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to collaborate with our amazing team of behavioral healthcare professionals and guide our clients in their recovery journey.

Pay: $16/hr

Shift: 2nd Shift 3:00PM - 11:00PM

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the intake process for new clients into the program.
  • Communicate with staff either verbally or in written communication logs, responsible for detailed client logs.
  • Listen to clients concerning all areas of treatment and maintain a safe, orderly, and therapeutic physical environment for clients, including crisis intervention.
  • Coordinate activities including lectures, recreation, and meetings.
  • Conduct mandatory bed checks as required per department and complete the bed-check sheet for shift reporting.
  • Attend shift change, team meetings, and company meetings.
  • Ensure the client schedule is being followed daily.
  • Assist with interventions with clients.
  • Follow objectives of treatment plans.
  • Monitor medication line.
  • Transport clients to meetings and recreation.
  • Conduct searches of clients when they return to the facility.
  • Monitor treatment for necessary hygiene and medical needs.
  • Uphold Therapeutic Boundaries and Staff Code of Ethics.
  • Evaluate behavioral and emotional needs of clients and provide input.
  • Distribute client snacks as needed.
  • Train new staff on unit, program, and milieu.
  • Help with upkeep of the facility.
  • Assist clients with obtaining a sponsor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Required Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Experience in Drug and Alcohol/Mental Health.
  • Experience facilitating process groups and family sessions.
