GFL Environmental is looking for a full-time Battery Sorter to join our growing liquids team. GFL Environmental offers competitive compensation and an attractive benefits plan. Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Battery sorter is responsible for sorting batteries to the proper destinations, data entry and forklift movements.

Shift time: 2 PM to 10 PM

Key Responsibilities:
• Sorting mixed batteries on a production conveyor
• Transport raw materials, scrap and recyclable materials throughout plant using a forklift
• Data entry using Microsoft Excel and Greentrax
• Clean work areas and equipment
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
• Completion of secondary school
• Experience in a related production line occupation or as a warehouse worker Forklift and/or Overhead crane experience an asset
• OHSA Rights and Responsibilities, WHMIS training
• Physical strength is required for manual material handling materials
• Long standing, walking and some minimal climbing of ladders and stairs
• Wearing and maintenance of required PPE including respirator mask
