Bar Manager (Restaurant, Wine)

Responsibilities:

• Manage the overall operations of the bar in a restaurant, specializing in wine.
• Oversee the bar staff and ensure excellent customer service.
• Create and update the bar menu, focusing on a wide variety of wine options.
• Maintain the bar inventory and monitor stock levels.
• Train and educate the bar staff on wine knowledge and service techniques.
• Implement strategies to attract customers and increase bar revenue.
• Monitor and control operational costs, including beverage inventory management.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Collaborate with the restaurant management team to develop promotions and special events.
• Stay updated on wine industry trends and recommend new products to enhance the bar offerings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Bar Manager, preferably in a wine-focused restaurant.
• Extensive knowledge of different types of wine, wine regions, and food and wine pairing.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Proven track record of driving bar revenue and achieving targets.
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations and resolve conflicts.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
