Backend Software Engineer Intern (TikTok-PGC-Creator Strategy) - 2027 Summer

Description

Our team's mission is to power the creator economy by offering economic opportunities for creators who inspire creativity, bring joy, and provide value to our community. We are a product facing team and you will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team (Product, Research, Design, and Data) to define and build solutions for creators who inspire members of our community every day.

We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship. Our internship program offers students hands-on experience, industry exposure, and opportunities to apply their knowledge to real-world challenges while building a strong foundation for personal and professional growth.
Interns will gain practical experience, explore potential career paths, and participate in social events, learning programs, and development workshops alongside industry professionals.

Responsibilities:
- Build new features that touch hundreds of millions of people around the world.
- Solve unique, large-scale, highly complex technical problems.
- Participate in technical discussions related to team's product and engineering work.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications
- Currently pursuing an Undergraduate/Master in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline;
- Able to commit to working for 12 weeks during Summer 2027;
- Experience with Python, Java, Golang, C#, or C++.

Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated software engineering experience from previous internships, work experience, coding competitions, or publications.
- High levels of creativity and quick problem-solving capabilities.
