What you’ll do

• Design, build, and maintain backend services in C# and .NET that support production, logistics, and related operations
• Collaborate with SMEs to translate operational problems into robust software solutions
• Create reports, define business rules, and extend integrations with external systems and APIs
• Analyse existing architectures and recommend improvements for security, performance, scalability, and capacity
• Implement CI, unit and integration tests, and source control best practice
• Contribute to solution documentation and handover for run teams

Requirements

Experience

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or equivalent experience
• 10+ years in software development with strong object oriented design
• Commercial experience in manufacturing or production systems. You have shipped software that captures or processes production data
• Proficiency in C# and .NET. Solid SQL and relational modelling
• Scripting with PowerShell and command line
• Source control using Git. Comfort working in lean or agile teams, including remote collaboration
• Clear communication, stakeholder engagement, and a bias to deliver

Nice to have

• MES exposure
• Additional languages or frameworks such as Python, JavaScript or TypeScript, Angular, Java, REST APIs
• Analytics and reporting exposure. Dashboards, Power BI, data warehousing
• Containers with Docker and basic orchestration. Swarm or Kubernetes
• Enterprise integrations, custom development, and reporting customisation
• Unit testing frameworks and automation in CI
