Apply to this jobTopgolf is seeking an experienced AV Engineer to join our Technology team based at our home office in Dallas, TX. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring the seamless operation, support, and evolution of AV systems across our growing fleet of venues in the U.S. You'll collaborate with Facility Managers, Tier 1 support, and other cross-functional teams to diagnose, improve, and innovate our AV infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate with third-party vendors to manage and oversee onsite remediation of AV issues at Topgolf venues.
Support venue Facility Management teams with guidance, best practices, and recommended repair actions for AV infrastructure.
Develop and maintain clear documentation and troubleshooting guides for Tier 1 and frontline teams to triage AV issues effectively.
Evaluate existing AV systems and recommend enhancements, upgrades, or replacement products to improve performance and consistency.
Contribute to AV system design and architecture for new venue builds, ensuring alignment with Topgolf standards.
Research and recommend new AV technologies and products for enterprise-wide implementation.
Support the Dallas home office AV infrastructure, including video conferencing (Cisco Webex), IPTV, digital signage, and LED displays.
Provide subject matter expertise in DSP programming, SAVI control systems, digital signage platforms (e.g., LG WebOS), and signal flow.
Interpret and work from AV blueprints, construction documents, and signal flow diagrams.
Partner with the Networking and IT teams to ensure effective operation and integration of IP-based AV systems.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in commercial AV design, integration, or support, preferably across multi-site operations.
Proven experience working with vendors to manage onsite service calls, repairs, and upgrades.
Advanced knowledge of DSP systems (preferably Q-Sys), IP encoders, SAVI controls, and Cisco Webex platforms.
Familiarity with LG WebOS, digital signage content management systems, and IPTV infrastructure.
Strong understanding of AV signal flow and the ability to read and interpret technical documentation.
Proficiency with microphones, LED video walls, distributed audio systems, projectors, and professional AV hardware.
Working knowledge of basic networking principles (IP addressing, VLANs, PoE, etc.).
Strong organizational and communication skills, with a proactive, self-starting mindset.
Experience with AV system validation, commissioning, and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
AVIXA certifications (CTS, CTS-I, or CTS-D) or Q-Sys Level 1+
Experience in hospitality, entertainment, or high-volume guest environments
Familiarity with Crestron, Extron, or AMX systems (with focus on SAVI preferred)
Project management or vendor relationship experience
