Job description

We are looking for responsible and safety-focused drivers to join an innovative autonomous vehicle testing project in Luxembourg. This role is ideal for experienced drivers who are highly attentive, calm under pressure, and comfortable working with advanced technology in a structured environment.

As an Autonomous Vehicle Test Driver, you will support vehicle testing operations by safely operating test vehicles, monitoring road conditions, and ensuring all assigned routes are completed according to project guidelines. Your contribution will help improve next-generation mobility solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate assigned test vehicles within approved testing areas in Luxembourg
  • Monitor road conditions and maintain strong situational awareness at all times
  • Identify and respond appropriately to potential hazards or unexpected traffic situations
  • Follow strict operational, safety, and data-collection procedures
  • Use tablets and on-board systems to complete required task documentation and reporting
  • Communicate clearly with operations teams regarding route progress, incidents, or issues
  • Support safe and efficient testing activities while maintaining high-quality standards

Requirements

  • Valid EU/EEA Category B driving licence recognized in Luxembourg, held for at least 3 years
  • Clean driving record with no serious violations or at-fault insurance claims in the past 3 years
  • Legal right to work in Luxembourg
  • Ability to successfully pass background, medical, and driving-history checks
  • Strong hazard perception and excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to remain focused during long shifts, including periods of low activity or repetitive driving
  • Good communication skills in English and at least one local language: French, German, or Luxembourgish
  • Comfortable using digital tools such as tablets and on-board computer systems
  • Reliable, professional, and safety-oriented
  • Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members
  • Flexibility to work variable schedules, including weekends

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced driving certification or defensive driving training
  • Previous professional driving experience (e.g. taxi, private hire/VTC, driving instructor, emergency response)
  • Proficiency in multiple languages (3+ languages is an advantage)
