We're seeking a talented and experienced Automation Engineer to join our team and focus on equipment and process automation in our semiconductor manufacturing operations. As an Automation Engineer - Equipment and Process Automation, you will be responsible for leading automation projects, developing holistic production concepts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
In your new role you will:
- Lead automation projects from requirement engineering to implementation, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery
- Develop holistic production concepts, aligning with other departments to ensure seamless integration
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, and quality, to ensure successful project execution
- Work with new equipment, including installation, testing, and commissioning
- Ramp up production to full capacity, ensuring efficient and reliable operation
- Hand over projects to sustaining functions, providing necessary documentation and training
- Develop and maintain relationships with equipment suppliers, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution
Your Profile
You are a highly motivated and collaborative individual with a strong passion for automation and process improvement. You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and are able to work effectively with cross-functional teams. A strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills are essential, as well as a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- A Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- At least 5 years of job experience in production or at an equipment supplier in a relevant position
- Strong knowledge of equipment interfaces and connection to higher-level systems
- Proficiency in automation and robotics, including programming and troubleshooting
- Basic knowledge of quality principles and lean manufacturing methodologies
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
