Position Overview

Audio Operator

Position Responsibilities

  • Perform various audio editorial and QC duties across multiple Deluxe workflows/projects:
    • Dialogue editorial of voice recordings
    • Audio QC of vendor delivered and internally recorded audio files
    • Packaging app processing of all assigned audio files
  • Ensure a solid technical understanding of dialogue editorial, processing and EQ for voice recording.
  • Maintain a strong technical grasp of quality control for voice recordings, voice performance and TTS project requirements.
  • Master all required tools and platforms across Deluxe and external client or vendor systems.
  • Perform audio engineer duties with in-studio and/or remote recording sessions where needed, collaborating with directors, performers and creative supervisors.
  • Be adept at quickly learning new tools and environments related to audio and postproduction, specifically in the text-to-speech, localization and accessibility spaces.
  • Operate internal and external Ai TTS voice generation tools for localization and audio description projects, including analyzing and editing text for appropriate dubbing adaptation and AD description.
  • Collaborate with management to ensure the quality of all projects meet client and industry standards.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams and departments, promptly responding to project requests and ensuring timely delivery while adhering to deadlines and style guidelines.
  • Stay informed about the latest standards, changes, and trends in the industry, as well as the latest technologies and tools.
  • Monitor department trackers and timelines to ensure deliveries are completed on-time and project expectations are met.
  • Complete other production-related duties as assigned at the discretion of management.

Key Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in cinema/film, as well as:

  • Degree in Sound.
  • Intermediate English level
  • Proficient in Pro Tools editing software.
  • Open minded about new technologies
  • Close attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills across all levels (verbal, written)
  • Positive attitude, solution-oriented outlook, and collaborative approach to every project.
  • Comfortable in an iterative environment, working closely with our internal teams and other cross-functional members.
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and be nimble and self-motivated in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage independent project workflows.
