Join a growing Orthopedic Sports Medicine and Performance team at Sanford Health. Position will serve two local high schools - Sacred Heart (EGF) and Thompson (ND).

Summary

Evaluates, plans, instructs, and monitors athletic training programs to help athletes prevent damage, restore function, and reach maximum level of independence. Evaluating athletes’ sports related injuries, physical conditions, and needs; recommending a scientific care plan to include schedule, treatment programs, and related education based on their capabilities and limitations.

Job Description

Join Sanford Health’s growing Grand Forks Orthopedic Sports Medicine and Performance team, an integrated, multidisciplinary program dedicated to keeping athletes and active individuals performing at their highest level. This position will initially provide athletic training coverage for a local high school, with significant opportunities to expand outreach and coverage as the program continues to grow.

The Athletic Trainer will work alongside a highly collaborative team of orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine physicians, therapists, athletic trainers, and performance specialists who are committed to delivering comprehensive, evidence-based care. This role offers unique opportunities to participate in Sanford Sports' Return-to-Play program, collaborate with rehabilitation specialists, and partner closely with our Orthopedic Sports Surgery team to support athletes throughout the entire continuum of care.

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and develop a new role within a rapidly expanding sports medicine program. The successful candidate will have a meaningful impact on athlete health and performance while contributing to the growth of an innovative and integrated orthopedic and sports medicine service line that is recognized for clinical excellence, collaboration, and community engagement.

Qualifications

Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.



Must be certified as an Athletic Trainer by the Board of Certification and be licensed and/or registered in state(s) of practice and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges as required by position. Based on facility needs, driver's license may be required and must meet all medical guidelines for Sanford Health Category I or III drivers.
