Job Requisition: JR1127711 Asst Manager - Finance Experience-4ROLE PURPOSE Manage financial integrity for assigned Diageo entities with significant sales and commercial activity through detailed review of the complete Trial Balance and all Balance Sheet and P&L GLs. Maintain particular focus on revenue, trade investment, customer incentives, receivables and sales cut-off, ensuring accurate, compliant and audit-ready results. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Manage month-end, quarter-end and year-end close for assigned sales-focused entities, including detailed review of the complete Trial Balance, Balance Sheet and P&L. Review revenue recognition, sales cut-off, returns, rebates, discounts, customer incentives, trade investment and related accruals and provisions. Review accounts receivable, customer claims and deductions, expected credit loss provisions, unapplied cash and aged balances; drive timely closure of open items. Analyse net sales, cost of goods sold and gross margin, challenge material movements and prepare clear variance commentary for P&L owners and Group Reporting. Act as the primary entity contact for Group Reporting, Demand and Commercial Finance, Market Controllers and process operations on submissions and accounting issues. Coordinate external audit, evidence review, reporting queries and timely closure of audit and control actions for assigned entities. Review and challenge outputs from R2R, OTC/AR, AP, Intercompany, Inventory, Fixed Assets and other process teams to ensure accurate and compliant accounting. Identify recurring exceptions and control gaps and drive root-cause remediation, standardisation and process improvements. KEY STAKEHOLDERS Group Reporting | Demand and Commercial Finance | Market Controllers and P&L Owners | OTC/AR and Process Operations | Tax/Legal/Statutory Reporting | Internal and External Audit REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS Strong experience in financial accounting, entity reporting, Trial Balance review, Balance Sheet control and P&L analysis. Good understanding of revenue and commercial accounting, including IFRS 15, sales cut-off, trade investment, customer incentives, receivables and expected credit losses. Sound knowledge of financial controls, group reporting and external audit requirements, with ability to review complex reconciliations, journals and schedules. Strong analytical, stakeholder management, challenge and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively within tight close timelines. People-management experience is not required; the role requires strong individual ownership, collaboration and stakeholder influence. QUALIFICATIONS With professional certification (CA / CFA / CMA / CPA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent): 7-10.11 years of relevant experience. Without certification or with partial completion of certification: 12-14.11 years of relevant experience, supported by an undergraduate or master's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting or a related discipline. SUCCESS MEASURES Timely and accurate entity reporting; substantiated Balance Sheet GLs; reliable revenue, trade investment and receivables accounting; meaningful sales and margin commentary; smooth audit support; prompt closure of open items and control issues
