Job description

Interpath Advisory is looking for a motivated Associate (F/H) to join our Special Situations Team in France. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute to complex financial advisory engagements in stressed and distressed situations, working closely with senior professionals to guide clients through critical challenges.

As an Associate, you will be involved in a broad range of projects, including Financial Restructuring, Independent Business Reviews (IBRs), and advisory mandates within our Portfolio Solutions team, which supports leading banks in the sale of non-performing loan portfolios. Your analytical expertise will be applied to financial modeling, data analysis, and the preparation of high-quality deliverables that enable clients to make informed decisions during pivotal moments.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Execute detailed financial analysis and modeling for restructuring and distressed scenarios.
  • Support Portfolio Advisory projects from data preparation through M&A process type execution.
  • Prepare clear, insightful reports and presentations for clients, summarizing findings and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with senior team members in client interactions and contribute to the success of advisory engagements.
  • Assist in business development initiatives, including pitches, market research, and presentations.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • BAC(+5) in finance, accounting, etc.
  • At least 1 year of experience (internship, apprenticeship) in financial advisory, investment banking, or a related field.
  • Previous experience at a NPL servicer/investor, or at a stakeholder in the NPL field would be an asset.
  • A relevant degree in finance, accounting, or economics.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with experience in financial modeling and analysis.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to create clear and compelling presentations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and French.
  • A team-oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated interest and understanding of restructuring, distressed assets, or related finance sectors.
