Associate Software Quality Analyst

 

The Associate Software Quality Analyst is responsible for writing, maintaining, and executing test cases and test scripts for embedded firmware. This position will work in an Agile team environment and will be responsible for managing daily tasks as well as helping to plan sprints. This position requires a highly competent, results-oriented individual focused on high-performing and highly reliable safety-critical applications. This position is expected to work closely with the development team to fully ensure a properly tested product from concept to production.

 

Activities

  • Create test cases based on requirements and design documentation
  • Document and prepare test data
  • Execute test cases
  • Analyze actual results against requirements and expected results
  • Record discrepancies
  • Identify and suggest process and tool inefficiencies and potential solutions/alternatives
  • Develop and maintain testing standards, procedures, and guidelines to ensure consistent testing procedures
  • Partner with distributed teams, outside vendors, or offshore testing partners

 

Requirements

  • Experience: 0 – 2 years
  • Education & Certification: Minimum 2-year degree
  • Willingness to work in a lab-like environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to multi-task and support multiple priorities / multiple deliverables
  • Strong understanding of software development principles

 

Beneficial but not required

  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • Experience working with embedded firmware
  • Electrical or mechanical engineering knowledge
  • Understanding of C, C++, C# or Python
  • Experience with test automation
  • Experience with networks and IoT connectivity

Pay Range
The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 37,700.00 - 69,900.00
