Job Description:

There is an immediate opening for an experienced, highly-motivated and energetic Scientist to join the Integrated Biologics Profiling (IBP) group. IBP is a Development unit that works with various Research teams to express, purify, and characterize monoclonal antibodies and other therapeutic proteins, and help select the best drug candidates with suitable manufacturability properties.

The selected candidate will work in a team responsible for the physicochemical and biophysical characterization of protein therapeutics, in particular monoclonal antibodies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Execute analytical work including standard protein HPLC (size exclusion, reverse phase, ion exchange, affinity), and electrophoretic analyses (CZE, cIEF, CE-SDS)

Support sample and buffer preparation for formulation and analytical characterization studies

Work in a highly interdisciplinary and collaborative environment as part of the IBP team.

Perform work semi-independently under mentorship of a functional lead. Able to multi-task to support several project proteins and able to manage accelerated timelines.

Accurate and timely process data and documentation,

Maintain analytical equipment and support other lab organization tasks


Skills:

Hands-on experience in physicochemical protein analytics, with emphasis on standard HPLC and electrophoretic methods for identification and characterization of therapeutic proteins

Highly self-motivated, organized and self-driven team player, with great interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communication capabilities.

Education:

Candidate should have a B.S. degree in Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a similar life science field with a minimum of 2 years of experience in protein
