Position Overview

Apollo Global Management is seeking a highly motivated Associate to join the Product Management team within the Client & Product Solutions (CPS) group, with primary coverage of Apollo's Asset Backed Finance (ABF) and secondary coverage of Fixed Income Replacement (FIR) platform. This role sits at the intersection of investment strategy, product development, and content creation — focused on building and managing the materials, data infrastructure, and reporting frameworks that support Apollo's yield-oriented and structured product platform.

Asset Backed Finance encompasses Apollo's growing platform of asset-backed lending and structured finance solutions across consumer, residential, commercial, and specialty finance sectors — one of the most differentiated and fastest-growing areas within Apollo's credit franchise. Apollo's Fixed Income Replacement business offers investors compelling yield-generating alternatives to traditional fixed income, spanning investment grade credit, direct lending, and other income-oriented strategies.

The Associate will take meaningful ownership across the product management lifecycle — from maintaining performance data and building fund content, to developing product narratives and partnering cross-functionally with investment, finance, legal, and compliance teams. The team is lean and entrepreneurial, offering broad responsibility and significant exposure to senior stakeholders across the firm.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Own the development and maintenance of product content across ABF and FIR, including pitch books, fund overviews, product profiles, and due diligence materials
  • Build and manage investment performance data sets, fund metrics, and portfolio analytics to support product reporting and content generation
  • Design and maintain monthly and quarterly reporting frameworks for various funds and managed accounts, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness
  • Draft quarterly fund reports and investor letters, translating complex portfolio-level data into clear, structured product narratives
  • Collaborate with investment teams to develop a deep understanding of fund structures, portfolio positioning, and product strategy across ABF and FIR
  • Partner with finance, compliance, and legal teams to ensure all product materials and reporting meet regulatory and firm standards
  • Identify and implement improvements to product data infrastructure, reporting workflows, and content management processes
  • Support the build-out and evolution of new product offerings within ABF and FIR, contributing to strategy development and product positioning
  • Respond to product-related inquiries and DDQs, drawing on deep product knowledge to deliver accurate and compelling responses
  • Prepare product materials for internal reviews, leadership presentations, and external-facing fund updates

Qualifications & Experience

Academic & Professional Background

  • Bachelor's degree with an excellent academic record
  • 3–5 years of experience at an alternative asset manager, investment bank, or in a product management, product strategy, or fund operations capacity
  • Experience working within or alongside credit or insurance investment teams is a plus
  • Series 7, Series 63, and SIE licenses required (or willingness to obtain)

Technical & Product Skills

  • Strong working knowledge of finance, credit markets, and alternative investment fund structures
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze large data sets and translate quantitative output into clear product narratives and reporting
  • Experience building and maintaining product content, fund reporting templates, or data management infrastructure
  • Strong writing skillset with the ability to synthesize complex financial and investment concepts into precise, polished materials
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel) and various AI tools (namely ChatGPT and Claude); familiarity with data visualization or product management tools a plus

Personal Characteristics

  • Product-oriented thinker with an eye for structure, process, and scalability
  • Self-starter with strong project management and follow-through skills; able to manage multiple workstreams with competing priorities
  • Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to partner effectively across investment, legal, compliance, and finance functions
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a genuine willingness to build, iterate, and improve
  • Capacity to discreetly handle sensitive and confidential information with uncompromising integrity and professionalism
  • Highly organized, resourceful, and driven with a strong passion for self-development
