Role Summary and Impact

WPP Media Hong Kong is seeking a motivated professional to join our client team as an Associate, Clients. In this foundational role, you will be a key contributor to the full media planning and buying cycle. You will provide essential operational support, ensure the accurate execution of campaign tasks, and develop integrated media plans. Furthermore, you will manage day-to-day campaign activities, build a strong understanding of media tools and processes, and serve as a reliable point of contact for clients to ensure smooth coordination and effective delivery.

 

Core Responsibilities:

Media Plan Development & Research: Gather competitive data, media landscape information, and relevant market research. Develop foundational media plans and recommendations across digital, social, and traditional channels based on client briefs and strategic direction.

Campaign Execution & Management: Oversee the day-to-day management of media campaigns, ensuring they are executed flawlessly, on schedule, and within budget. Assist with campaign setup, ad trafficking, and the generation of tracking links to ensure timely launches.

Data Management & Performance Analysis: Monitor live campaigns and accurately compile data from various platforms for regular performance reports. Analyze performance data to identify initial insights and trends, and assist with financial processes, including billing and reconciliation.

Team Collaboration & External Coordination: Work closely with internal peers and senior staff to ensure all operational aspects of media campaigns are handled efficiently. Serve as a day-to-day contact for designated clients, managing their requests and communications, and liaise directly with media vendors to gather information and secure proposals.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • University degree in any discipline; marketing, advertising, or communications preferred.
  • 0 to 2 years of experience in a media planning or digital media role, preferably within a media agency (fresh graduates with a strong desire to build a career in media and relevant internship experience are welcome).
  • Strong understanding of the media landscape and the fundamentals of media planning and buying.
  • Experience with, or a strong capacity to learn, industry tools such as ad-serving platforms (e.g., Sizmek, Campaign Manager 360) and competitive monitoring tools (e.g., admanGo).
  • High attention to detail, strong numerical aptitude, and proven analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide initial insights.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • A proactive, eager-to-learn attitude paired with excellent communication skills and growing confidence in client interactions.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English, Cantonese, and Mandarin

 

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Familiarity with digital marketing or social media platforms.
  • Basic knowledge of SEM and/or programmatic platforms.
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization.
  • Knowledge of WPP Media brands and capabilities.
