Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in state and federal court proceedings, including mediations, depositions, and trial preparation.
- Draft and argue motions, pleadings, discovery responses, and appellate briefs.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on complex real estate and foreclosure issues.
- Manage cases from inception through resolution, maintaining deadlines and compliance with court rules.
- Counsel and communicate effectively with clients regarding case strategy, risk, and outcomes.
- Senior Attorney oversees and mentor junior attorneys and paralegals as needed.
Requirements
- Active California State Bar license in good standing.
- Associate: Minimum 5 years of litigation experience.
- Minimum 2 years of real estate law experience required.
- Real estate transaction experience is a plus.
- Strong experience in drafting motions to dismiss, summary judgment motions, writs, and appeals.
- Proven success in depositions, mediations, and courtroom advocacy.
- Excellent legal writing, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
- Ability to manage a full litigation caseload independently.
- Law Review, clerkship, or appellate experience preferred but not required.
