The Role

Join us as Consultant/Senior Consultant, and work on development of modern data platforms and analytics projects. This role would require a recognised expert in data analysis in Alteryx, SQL query and database and Python data science model Development. Hands-on experience of implementation and development . Good understanding of Risk Domain is a plus.

What the Business does

Risk Analytics & Data Assurance team focus on Risk Tech Transformation projects involving migration of on premise applications to cloud, data platform modernisation, application modernisation, advanced analytics and data management concerned with risk & regulatory reporting processes.

This team provide Development, Design, oversight and support across each of the Risk & Reg Reporting Solutions delivery towers to ensure Reporting Solutions systems and components are operationally sound and meeting Architecture and Design standards. Ensure delivery of support and strategic change aligns with the long-term strategy of the clients in Fortune / FT / BSE 500.

Your Responsibilities

As Consultant /Senior Consultant – Alteryx and Python Developer,  your key responsibilities will include:

you’ll apply widely agreed data analysis and software engineering principles and methodologies to design, develop, test and maintain data platforms, applications and services to achieve the stated business and technology goals within required budgets and timelines. We’ll also look to you to oversee the quality of work, making sure that it meets the technical standards for all services output. You’ll need a background in data engineering / analysis / data science. You should also have development experience in a programming language, experience of using industry recognised frameworks and development tooling, and a background of implementing programming best practice, especially around scalability, availability and performance.

• Hands-on experience of working on implementation and development using T-SQL , Alteryx and Python
• Experience of test-driven development alongside the use of automated test frameworks, mocking and stubbing and unit testing tools
• An understanding of how to translate product and business requirements into technical solutions
• The ability to understand and support, modify and maintain systems and code developed by other engineering teams

Knowledge and Experience

● A background in data engineering, data analysis or data science

● Development experience in a programming language

● Experience of using industry recognised frameworks and development tooling

● Experience of working in an environment where products have to be delivered to specific timescales

● An understanding of how to translate product and business requirements into technical solutions

● Experience of working with code repositories, bug tracking tools and wikis

● Knowledge of relational, in-memory, distributed and non-SQL databases

● An understanding of banking products, output, or infrastructure would be an advantage ● Display behaviours in line with our Critical People Capabilities

The Skills you’ll need

In order to be successful in this role, you must have the following skills & experience:

Qualification from an Engineering College, / M Tech / PGDCA having 3-8 year experience preferably in Banking domain. Strong knowledge of SQL, Alteryx and Python along with hands-on experience. Good understanding of Risk Domain is a plus.

Pro-active and capable of taking ownership of tasks. The person must have had client facing experience. Align to the organisation’s architectural direction and principles, and make sure that the applications and services being built adhere to them Liaise with lead engineers, architects, business analysts and other key stakeholders to understand the objectives and requirements Support well thought out estimates after a thorough consideration of design, build and testing of complexity and maintainability and serviceability Design and develop high-volume, high-performance and high-availability data platforms and applications using proven frameworks and technologies
