Job overview and responsibilities

Associate analyst will work to enable better decision making across Technical Operations team. The work will involve working on huge volumes of data coming from the Technical Operations team's various systems (e.g. Fleet Focus, telemetry devices, Coupa, PlanPlus, Oracle ERP, etc.) and use this information to drive decision making. Will be responsible for working on analysis projects with deliverables for various stakeholders across organization

• Extract data from a variety of sources to assist in building operational dashboards and reports
• Curate tables and views that serve as the "single source of truth" for United's Tech Ops data
• Automate existing manual reports and processes to improve operational throughput 
• Performs ad-hoc data mining and analysis as required
• Proactively experiments with new tools, including emerging or role-specific AI solutions, while being aware of their practical limitations, including accuracy, data confidentiality/privacy, bias, and the need for human judgment

This position is offered on local terms and conditions.  Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded. This position is for United Airlines Business Services Pvt. Ltd - a wholly owned subsidiary of United Airlines Inc.

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, business analytics, finance, supply chain
• 1 – 2 years related experience
• Deep understanding of data structures, relationships, and efficient transformations
• Experience leveraging AI tools such as GPT, Copilot, Claude, or Google Gemini in academic, internship, or professional projects is preferred where relevant to data analysis or productivity needs of the role.
• Familiarity with all parts of the data ecosystem -- acquisition, engineering, storage, management, analysis, visualization, and deployment
• Knowledge and application of data visualization best practices
• Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship
• Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
• Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
