MUFG Taiwan is seeking an Assistant Vice President/Vice President, Middle Office Operations to lead the Front Middle function in supporting business growth while ensuring strong governance, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance. In this role, you will oversee client service and data management, client onboarding, KYC coordination, and relationship management support, while driving process optimization, strengthening control frameworks, and fostering collaboration across stakeholders.

What you'll do:

As the Assistant Vice President/Vice President, Middle Office Operations, you will be at the forefront of building a scalable and resilient operating model, overseeing client service, onboarding, data management, and KYC coordination while championing innovation, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance.

  • Lead, develop, and mentor the Front Middle team by establishing clear roles, service standards, and escalation procedures to ensure operational excellence and resilience.

  • Oversee Client Service & Data Management activities for global corporate customers, ensuring accurate client data maintenance and high service delivery standards.

  • Foster a strong risk and control culture by ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements, while serving as the key escalation point for complex operational issues.

  • Partner with Relationship Managers and cross-functional teams to deliver a high-quality client experience through effective problem-solving and issue resolution.

  • Coordinate client onboarding, account opening, and KYC activities, including reviews, remediation, and regulatory requirements, ensuring timely completion and adherence to service levels.

  • Act as the liaison between Front Office and KYC teams to improve process efficiency, transparency, and resolution of operational bottlenecks and regulatory risks.

  • Drive workflow optimization, automation, data quality governance, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, scalability, and operational performance.

  • Monitor service metrics and controls to identify improvement opportunities and mitigate operational, regulatory, and reputational risks.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate will bring proven expertise in corporate banking support functions and demonstrate a strong understanding of banking operations, processes, and industry’s best practices.

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Financial Management or related discipline.

  • At least 10 years of relevant work experience in banking sector while 5 years of managerial experience is preferred.

  • Solid experience in leading corporate support functions.

  • Experience in relationship management is highly preferred.

  • Strong and effective stakeholder management skills.

  • Self-initiating abilities in identifying productivity improvements, process streamlining, and standardization opportunities.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in English is required for managing international communications.
