Job Summary:

This role leads the architectural design and end-to-end delivery of mission-critical post-trade systems, covering clearing, settlement and collateral management of financial instruments. You will be leading the system development, drive technical excellence, and deliver secure, resilient and scalable solutions across the full software development lifecycle, including production support.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead technical design and contribute to solution architecture for high-availability, high-throughput post-trade platforms and services.
• Take ownership of assigned projects and workstreams across the SDLC (requirements, design, development, testing, and implementation), ensuring quality and timely delivery.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to support delivery across multiple initiatives and priorities.
• Drive engineering best practices in software design, coding standards, security, testing, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with technology and business teams to translate business requirements into practical and scalable technical solutions.
• Support production management of mission-critical systems, including incident investigation, issue resolution, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to the development of technical capabilities within the team.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in system design and software development.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Java engineering, including API design, performance tuning, concurrency, and troubleshooting production issues.
• Solid experience with microservice architecture, containers/Kubernetes, messaging/streaming technologies (e.g. Kafka, ActiveMQ), Linux, and database technologies.
• Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and modern DevOps toolchains, including CI/CD, automated testing, source control, and monitoring practices.
• Experience working with vendors and knowledge of application security concepts (e.g. OAuth2, API security) would be an advantage.
• Experience in full-stack development is an advantage, particularly with React.js or other modern frontend frameworks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale applications in complex stakeholder environments.
