Assistant Professor of Clinical - Anesthesiology

The University of Miami Health System is initiating a search for a General Anesthesiologist.

Essential Job Functions:

• Comfortable performing a wide variety of cases including orthopedics, GYN, community OB, abdominal cases, general vascular, and kidney transplants
• Limited skills in regional and the ability to anesthetize older children is helpful
• Comfortable supervising residents, CRNAs, and SRNA
• Comfortable performing cases on their own if required
• Participate in the academic activities of the department including teaching and mentoring trainees
• Participate in departmental conferences and faculty meetings
• Call is expected to be 3-4 overnight calls per month (some calls may be from home) Evening and weekend calls, possible
• Effort distribution may change based on department needs, candidate’s interests, and success in obtaining extramural grant funding

Desired Qualifications:

• MD/DO required
• US Anesthesiology Residency
• BE/BC required
