Job description

Established in 1981, the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) is a flagship institution known for its high academic standards and research excellence. As one of the largest EEE schools globally, it boasts a faculty of over 120 members and an enrolment exceeding 4,000 students, including approximately 1,000 graduate students.

We invite applications for the position of Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team. The Assistant Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the Master of Science (coursework) academic and program management tasks, contributing to the smooth operation of academic programs and student success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the administration of examinations, assessments, and grading processes.

  • Process examination marks, ensuring timely and accurate recording and reporting of results.

  • Monitor academic progress and performance of students, providing guidance and support as needed.

  • Implement strategies to enhance the quality and relevance of academic programs, including curriculum review and revision.

  • Collaborate with faculty members and program directors to address student concerns, grievances, and academic appeals effectively.

  • Identify, plan, implement, and enhance operational and administrative processes related to academic and program management.

  • Provide support in the planning and execution of academic events and activities, such as orientation programs and student workshops.

  • Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in academic administration or program management roles.

  • Demonstrated exceptional organization, prioritization, and time management skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Exhibit self-driven, resourceful, and excellent team player qualities.

  • Proficient in MS Office suites, including Excel and Word. Advance knowledge in Excel is highly desirable.

  • Familiarity with Power Automate or a similar tool is considered an additional asset.

  • Experience in exam marks processing and familiarity with relevant software systems is highly desirable.
