AI Singapore (AISG) is Singapore's national programme in artificial intelligence, launched by the National Research Foundation (NRF) to anchor deep national capabilities in AI. Hosted at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), AI Singapore brings together Singapore-based research institutions and the vibrant ecosystem of AI start-ups and companies to perform use-inspired research, grow knowledge, create tools, and develop the talent to power Singapore's AI efforts. We are seeking a Assistant Manager, Finance (AISG) to partner with Office of Finance, NTU Shared Services and other stakeholders such as funding agencies to ensure compliance with the policies, guidelines and procedures, and to align with as well as contribute to the mission, goals and objectives of the University.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Manage non-grant related finance operations for AISG including payments, invoicing, and fixed assets.

  • Work with the AISG team to support financial planning and monitoring of educational collaborations, research collaborations and gifts.

  • Ensure accurate and timely payments.

  • Review and follow-up on outstanding fund receipts.

  • Handle enquiries from collaborators or trainees related to financial issues.

  • Support management in various financial and management reporting and audit issues.

Qualification:

  • Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline.

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in finance operations, preferably in a university or research environment.

  • Basic understanding of research grant administration and compliance requirements; prior experience in grant claims or research finance is an advantage.

  • Able to liaise confidently with researchers, Schools/Centres, and collaborators on financial matters.

  • Detail‑oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple deadlines and high operational volumes.

  • Team‑oriented, responsive, and able to escalate issues appropriately to senior finance staff.
