Global Custody UK Tax Service team is to assist HSBC custody client to obtain their favorable tax on the Dividend/Interest payment by ensure the physical/electronic tax documents are in place with our agent before the market deadline. We are also liaising with UK and foreign authorities on audit inspections.
The Opportunity:
- To understand withholding tax services that HSBC Custodian bank provide to the client.
- Dealing with HMRC and tax advisors discussion for tax knowledge.
- Able to deal with multiple parties with different function as Tax team would be the last stage of a Corporate event
What you’ll do:
- To prepare the tax documents via Tax Certification Process, Perform Elective Dividend Service (EDS) and Beneficiary Owner breakdown declaration.
- To assist our client to perform tax claim filing for a favorable tax rate upon receive the dividend payment before the tax reclaim filing statute of limitation.
- Provide support and manage good repo with stakeholder, client, account manager, Client Service in all tax related issues.
- To prepare Process MI & Attend BAU related meetings with internal/external parties
- Liaise with IT to resolve operational issues from the BAU Processing system and participate in UAT as and when required.
What you will need to succeed in the role:
- Can work under pressure due to peak season and tight deadlines
- Good in mathematic calculations
- Fluent in English
