Job description
Vasona Creek Healthcare is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist to take on the pivotal role of Assistant Director of Rehabilitation (ADR). In this leadership position, you will contribute to our mission of helping patients regain strength, skills, and confidence to return to their highest level of function after recovering from conditions like joint replacement, cardiac events, and strokes.

You will be an integral part of a large, close-knit, and multidisciplinary team, collaborating with physical, occupational, and speech therapists, physical therapist assistants, and rehab aides. Our in-house therapy program provides a comprehensive approach to rehabilitation, utilizing a highly equipped gym with advanced technology, including:

- ACP ULTRASOUND
- TENS AND EMS
- Nex Active Play system playground
We offer specialized programs including Acute Neuro Rehab, Aquatic Pool Therapy, and Pain Management to further enhance your skills and provide a wide range of treatment options for patients. You'll also have access to personalized laptops for efficient documentation.
Your Leadership Role and Responsibilities
As the Assistant Director of Rehabilitation, you will collaborate with the Director of Rehabilitation in managing and supervising the rehabilitation department to meet resident needs and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist License is required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years rehabilitation experience, preferably in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting.
- Strong leadership capabilities and the ability to supervise and motivate a team.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with Medicare and third-party billing requirements is required.
