Pay: Up to $25/hour (Based on Experience)

Westgate Gardens Healthcare Center is currently seeking a dedicated and organized Assistant Dietary Manager to help oversee the daily operations of our dietary department. This is an excellent opportunity for a food service professional who is passionate about nutrition and providing high-quality meals in a healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Dietary Manager in planning, coordinating, and supervising food service operations

• Ensure meals are prepared and served in accordance with facility menus, resident dietary needs, and regulatory guidelines

• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment

• Help train, schedule, and supervise dietary staff

• Monitor food inventory and assist with ordering and receiving supplies

• Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures are followed

• Maintain compliance with state and federal food safety standards

Qualifications:

• Food Handler’s Card for California (required)

• ServSafe Manager Certification (preferred or willingness to obtain)

• Previous experience in a healthcare food service environment

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities

• Knowledge of dietary needs for long-term care residents a plus
