About the Opportunity

We are seeking an Assistant Accountant who is energetic, driven, and enjoys solving problems. In this role, you will support core financial processes, assist with audits, and provide insights that influence decisions. You will work closely with stakeholders across the business, ensuring compliance and driving efficiency in financial operations. This position offers the flexibility to move between corporate and project-based roles across Australia and globally in diverse streams such as Rail, Mechanical & Electrical, and Civil Infrastructure.


Key Accountabilities
•    Prepare journals and maintain ledgers
•    Reconcile accounts and process invoices
•    Assist with budgeting and forecasting
•    Support audits and compliance activities
•    Deliver accurate financial reports
•    Engage stakeholders to resolve issues
 

Required Skills and Competencies

•    Commerce or Finance degree
•    2+ years’ post-graduation finance experience
•    Strong stakeholder engagement skills
•    Proficiency in accounting software
•    Knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards
