Pay: Starts at $21/hour based on experience

Position Summary

PT Tech, a division of Timken, is seeking a motivated individual to join our Assembly team at our Wadsworth facility.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

    • Assemble various large off-road brakes, clutches, gear boxes and torsional couplings
    • Problem solving involving a few concrete variables in standardized situation
    • Basic testing of product under direction
    • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, with assistance if necessary
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions
    • Work as a team, which requires that each person be in the right place at the right time
    • Follow established work practices and procedures to ensure quality of work

 

Basic Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
    • Related assembly experience
    • Basic knowledge of shop tools, drills and equipment in the area(s) being trained/ qualified
    • Able to follow instructions with direction
    • Basic knowledge of measuring equipment; tape measure, calipers, micrometers, etc.
    • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

 

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

    • Diesel Technician or large engine experience
    • 3-year related experience and/or training
    • Working knowledge of basic computer applications, SAP experience preferred

 

This position may require access to United States export controlled technical data (“CTD”) and hardware under the Departments of US State (ITAR) and/or Commerce (EAR).  Eligible candidates are; US Citizens, Green Card holders, Asylees or others eligible to receive US export license authorizations. Candidate must be authorized to work in the US.
