The Gas Certified Technician is responsible for the routine maintenance and operation of the property-wide Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (CFTOD) Natural Gas Utility System. The field service position may include work from elevated platforms and confined spaces throughout the Walt Disney World Parks and Resort property.

Basic Qualifications

  • Valid Florida Driver’s License
  • Possess the ability to interpret system maps and technical drawings
  • Ability to complete required evaluations and testing for Gas Operator Qualification per D.O.T. requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Routine inspection and maintenance of distribution system piping, valves, metering and pressure reducing stations, odorization equipment, and cathodic protection systems
  • Operate high-pressure natural gas utility systems
  • Initialize natural gas service to new customers
  • Ability to respond to system emergencies, locate lines, and conduct system leak surveys

Compensation Details

The pay rate for this role in Florida is $28.45 per hour.
