To support our continued growth and further our commitment to our vision, we are looking for a procurement professional to take on the Category Manager role with a strong focus on New Product Introduction (NPI), supplier management, and strategic sourcing to strengthen our Direct Procurement organization.

Your key responsibilities:

The job combines the tasks both from New Product Introduction (NPI) and Category Management.


You will drive commercial and procurement activities across new product development, supplier development, and various projects, ensuring that materials, suppliers, and commercial activities are successfully delivered on time according to MCI product strategy. Meanwhile, you will take ownership of selected direct categories, driving supplier strategy, commercial performance, and alignment with procurement priorities and business needs.

You will:

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders i.e. Project Management, R&D, Quality and Global Procurement team to secure procurement-related activities delivery throughout the project
  • Manage RFQ processes and supplier negotiations to secure competitive, sustainable agreements
  • Provide procurement input to business cases, including cost, lead-time, and supply risk assessments
  • Serve as the primary contact from Project to Procurement including supplier capacity, change management, negotiations, and cost-reduction initiatives
  • Lead sourcing activities across development projects and ensure smooth transition to category ownership
  • Develop and execute category strategies aligned with business and procurement objectives
  • Optimize the supplier base and drive supplier performance improvements through structured relationship management
  • Negotiate commercial agreements focused on quality/reliability, cost competitiveness, and supply continuity
  • Monitor supplier performance and strengthen supply chain resilience through proactive risk management
  • Deliver on financial targets and support overall procurement strategy within assigned categories
     

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a candidate who combines technical understanding with commercial acumen and good stakeholder management skills, who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

You:

  • Have min. 3-5 years’ experience in Category Management
  • Are energetic, engaged, open-minded, and confident in your approach.
  • Possess a good technical understanding and an interest in working with technical products and suppliers, experience within a manufacturing environment & Electronics and EMS is an advantage.
  • Demonstrate solid analytical, commercial, and negotiation skills.
  • Are proactive, results-oriented, and comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Are an effective communicator with the ability to build, develop, and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Thrive in a collaborative, international environment and enjoy working across functions and cultures.
