Applications Engineer

Underground Solutions, Inc. (UGS) has an opening for an Applications Engineer to support our PVC fusion and other pipe technologies.  SIGNING BONUS AVAILABLE

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, preferably Civil, Chemical or Mechanical 

• Minimum GPA 3.0

• 1 year of technical writing or estimating experience, preferred

• Must have good written and oral communication skills due to the strong commercial element of the work

• Proficient with MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint

• Proficient with AutoCAD preferred

• Ambitious self-starter with strong work ethic, good organizational skills, attention to detail and dedication to a team environment

• Interest in sales or technical paper writing

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Generate technical proposals, cost estimates and submittals to consulting engineers, utilities and contractors for PVC Pipe products including Fusible PVC® Piping, TerraBrute® CR Restrained Joint PVC Piping, and Vylon® Closed Profile PVC Piping

• Provide detailed plan and specification reviews, and pipe take-offs along with order processing within Salesforce, our CRM

• Handle a variety PVC fusion and other pipe technology projects with minimal supervision in an organized and time-effective manner
