Location – Balgowlah, Sydney

The Application Technologist, Beverages role at dsm-firmenich is to support ANZ team with technical expertise and high-quality applications in beverages including alcohol.

Your key responsibilities

• Execute daily brief-related tasks and apply knowledge during flavor selection, evaluation and application development independently across sweet goods, savoury and beverage as the focus segment
• Develop and explore application recipes of dsm-firmenich’s product portfolio including sourcing of ingredients and other materials needed for the project
• Collaborate with Marketing and Account Managers to come up with creative applications and concepts as part of proactive initiatives
• Responsible for operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, e.g UHT machine, beverage processing equipment
• Participate in presentations and trainings provided by the internal team or external training providers
• Visit clients and provide technical support to develop and promote DSM-Firmenich’s product solutions

You bring

• Bachelor Degree in Food Science, Food Technology or related field
• 7 years of experience in beverage companies and/or ingredient houses
• Good understanding of GMP and safety in a laboratory environment
• Hands-on and proficient in prototype development
• Computer literate - Word, Excel
• Good mathematical skills
