SUMMARY

The Application Security Engineer will serve as the interface between the development team and security team. Your goal will be to ensure the security of Acme's internal and external applications by:

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Performing testing of new and existing applications for security vulnerabilities
• Integrating security into development processes
• Consulting with development teams on secure architecture and best practices
• Developing secure coding training and education
• Participating security operations support and incident handling
• Evaluating and recommending new and emerging security products and technologies

WHAT TO BRING

• Experience and strong technical knowledge in application security, cryptography, authentication and authorization, and security engineering
• Development experience in Java, Ruby, and/or Python
• Experience with service-oriented architecture and web service security
• Strong knowledge of security vulnerabilities and remediation techniques
• Excellent leadership and teamwork skills
• Strong negotiator, self-confident, and outgoing

NICE-TO-HAVES

• 3 - 4 years of relevant work experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering/Information Systems or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience in application-level vulnerability testing and auditing
• 2+ years of experience working with development teams
