Overview:

The Electronics Application Development Engineer (ADE) is responsible for driving Electronics-related business opportunities through technical expertise, customer validation activities, advanced demonstrations, and application development.

This role serves as the primary technical expert for Electronics applications and collaborates closely with Sales, Customers, HQ Application Teams, and Product Management to strengthen ZEISS's market position and support sustainable business growth within the Electronics industry.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Electronics Demo & Technical Validation (Primary Role)

Customer Demonstration

• Lead technical demonstrations for strategic Electronics customers.

• Develop and execute advanced demonstration projects.

• Support proof-of-concept (PoC) activities and technical evaluations.

Technical Validation

• Analyze customer inspection requirements and manufacturing challenges.

• Validate customer processes and measurement strategies.

• Support customer investment decisions through technical consulting and solution validation.

Demo Development

• Develop Electronics-specific demo scenarios and workflows.

• Establish and maintain Electronics demo standards and best practices.

• Benchmark ZEISS solutions against competitive technologies and applications.

Business Impact

• Improve Electronics Demo Win Rate.

• Support strategic opportunity development.

• Drive technical differentiation of ZEISS solutions in the Electronics market.

2. Electronics Application Development (Primary Supporting Role)

Application Development

• Develop new Electronics application methodologies and workflows.

• Create industry-specific best practices and reference cases.

• Identify emerging Electronics trends and translate them into application opportunities.

Customer Support

• Provide advanced application support for Electronics customers.

• Support troubleshooting and technical issue resolution.

• Training & Knowledge Transfer

• Deliver customer training programs.

• Provide technical coaching to internal Application and Sales teams.

• Develop technical documentation, application guidelines, and knowledge-sharing materials.

Programming & Measurement Service

• Support application programming activities.

• Support measurement and validation services when required.

• Develop optimized inspection strategies for Electronics applications.

3. Business Enablement (Supporting Role)

Customer Engagement

• Participate in customer meetings as the Electronics technical expert.

• Support strategic customer discussions and technology roadmaps.

Commercial Support

• Support RFQ reviews and technical proposal preparation.

• Support technical presentations, seminars, and workshops.

• Provide technical input for marketing and business development activities.

Internal Collaboration

• Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, and HQ Application teams.

• Share market intelligence, customer feedback, and industry trends.
