You'll advise on financial reports required by governmental regulations, and review, analyze, and interpret financial and budgetary reports. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

Responsibilities

• Take accountability for accuracy, timeliness, effectiveness and efficiency of financial reporting and processes related to Controllership for your area (e.g., month-end close, year end statutory financial processes, Profit and Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheet (B/S) analytics, tax compliance, financial accounting).
• Prepare and present financial information to different audiences, including finance leaders, business partners, auditors and regional accountants.
• Participate in cross-finance readiness for product initiatives in APAC, providing jurisdictional expertise and partner with key stakeholders for successful implementation/launch.
  
• Develop solutions for current and potential problems, address potential issues and risks for a specific area, and focus on comprehensive and proactive planning to craft solutions.
  
• Identify opportunities to design new or improve current methods/processes (e.g., customized process documents or deliverables, policy updates, revised guidance), to increase efficiency or produce higher value for users.
  

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
  
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA).
• 7 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 5 years with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.
  

Preferred qualifications:

• MBA or MSA degree.
• Qualified Chartered Accountant.
• Experience managing project planning, status reporting, timeline estimation, issue tracking, meeting facilitation, and project documentation. Ability to propose next steps and roadblock solutions and anticipate questions and issues early, manage time, and follow work plans.
• Proficiency in AI tools.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and experience with ERP systems such as SAP.
• Ability to have a collaborative style and work with cross-functional and international teams.
