Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, VA. It is the most comprehensive facility of its kind on the Virginia Peninsula. This short-term acute care hospital with 300 beds is a voluntary nonprofit and a member of Riverside Health System. The hospital features a neonatal intensive care unit with 21 beds and neonatologists located on-site.

Case Assignments & Schedule
• Schedule: Weekday call is 7:00 PM-7:00 AM with a guaranteed post-call day off. About 3 calls per month.
• Diverse and challenging case mix includes general, endo, vascular, neuro, radiology, vascular, thoracic, urology, cardiac, bariatric, orthopedic, plastics ENT, OB, and GYN.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive anesthesia care across surgical procedures
• Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and obtain informed consent
• Develop and discuss anesthetic plans with patients
• Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition and perform interventions as needed
• Support departmental coordination and clinical leadership

Requirements
• Schedule: Weekday call is 7:00 PM-7:00 AM with a guaranteed post-call day off. About 3 calls per month.
• M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
• ECFMG and FLEX
• Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
• Currently licensed as a physician
