• There is an immediate opening for an analytical automation specialist in the Technical Research and Development group of the Cell and Gene Therapy Unit at Novartis.
• The ideal candidate will have laboratory experience in and knowledge of human cellular immunology.
• Previous experience with the Tecan Evo liquid handling platform– both with regard to day-to-day operation and troubleshooting is preferred.
• Familiarity with a range of general biological/analytical assays for the purposes of application development and validation (e.g. flow cytometry, ELISA, qPCR etc.) is desirable. Key responsibilities will include:
• Operating and maintaining Tecan Evo liquid handling instruments
• Interacting with subject matter experts to understand protocol development needs
• Implementing, validating, and documenting automated flow cytometry analytical assays
• Supporting other users of laboratory liquid handling instruments.
• Excellent documentation, communication, and organizational skills as well as the ability to balance multiple concurrently running projects are essential to success in this position.

Education:
M.S. or B.S. degree with 2-3 years relevant experience in flow cytometry and analytical assay automation on the Tecan Evo liquid handling platform.
