Apply to this jobThe Business Credit Office (BCO) team is part of COO at HSBC Mexico. As a Junior Credit Analyst, you’ll own the end-to-end credit process for Wholesale Banking customers, partnering with Relationship Managers to structure credit solutions aligned to clients’ financial needs and supporting the growth of HSBC’s lending portfolio.
Key responsibilities
- Support RMs in structuring short- and long-term financing solutions.
- Identify and assess risks to ensure proper mitigation and compliance with Mexican banking regulation and HSBC internal policies.
- Prepare credit applications fully written in English, including financial statement analysis, industry analysis and annual projections to assess repayment capacity.
- Monitor portfolio compliance (financial and non-financial terms), identify negative trends and ensure completeness of credit files to facilitate payments and disbursements.
- Engage with clients to follow up documentation and obtain first-hand information for monitoring and new business opportunities.
- Coordinate with internal support teams (spreading, file monitoring, operations, legal).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Actuarial Science, Financial Management, Accounting, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related.
- Proficient English (written and spoken).
- Strong financial statement analysis skills.
- Basic knowledge of derivatives.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, organisation and ability to manage multiple deliverables; proactive communication and teamwork.
