AMS Consultant with IBM iSeries & ILE RPG

Type of contract: B2B contract 

Salary range: 120-150 PLN/H

What will you do?

You will join an Agile engineering team within Wealth Management, supporting and evolving a business-critical platform for UK discretionary investments. The role combines hands-on development with production support, ensuring system stability while contributing to continuous improvement of IBM iSeries-based solutions.

Your tasks

• Ensure stable operation of applications through production support during UK business hours
• Analyse and resolve incidents across complex integrated systems
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver effective solutions
• Manage and prioritise support and development tasks within the backlog
• Perform regular operational activities and system maintenance
• Design, develop and implement enhancements on IBM iSeries
• Participate in testing, deployment and release processes
• Create and maintain technical documentation
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices and processes

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with IBM iSeries platforms
• Strong knowledge of ILE RPG programming
• Experience with application support and development in enterprise environments
• Knowledge of system and business analysis
• Experience in working in Agile teams
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Experience with stakeholder communication and collaboration
• Very good command of English
• Openness to work hybrid from our client's office (Krakó) 8 days a month

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with SQLRPG or free format RPG
• Knowledge of API integrations and modernisation approaches
• Experience with wealth management or investment banking systems
• Knowledge of securities custody or core banking
• Experience working with large-scale enterprise systems
• Understanding of DevOps practices
