Alumni Relations Manager (part-time, 28 hours/week)
The Business Career Center in the Marriott School of Business is seeking an experienced relationship-builder and strategic leader to strengthen connections between our alumni and students. This role will develop and lead initiatives that cultivate meaningful alumni engagement, creating opportunities for mentorship, networking, internships, experiential learning, and full-time employment for BYU Marriott students.
What you’ll do in this position:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive alumni engagement strategy that strengthens alumni participation in mentoring, career education, recruiting, and student success initiatives.
- Build, cultivate, and maintain relationships with BYU Marriott alumni across key industries, geographic regions, and leading organizations to expand career opportunities for students.
- Create and oversee alumni engagement programs, including mentorship initiatives, networking events, professional development seminars, career treks, classroom presentations, panels, and experiential learning opportunities.
- Expand alumni involvement in internship and full-time recruiting by identifying and developing long-term partnerships with alumni and corporate recruiters.
- Maintain and grow a robust alumni network and database, tracking engagement opportunities, mentorship participation, recruiting partnerships, and industry connections.
- Provide individualized career coaching and mentoring to students by helping them explore career paths, leverage alumni networks, prepare for recruiting, and secure internships and full-time employment.
- Collaborate on student- and alumni-facing communications, marketing campaigns, and social media initiatives that promote Business Career Center programs and services.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to Business Career Center leadership by providing strategic recommendations for alumni engagement priorities, programming, and student development initiatives.
What qualifies you for this role:
Required
- A firm commitment to the mission of BYU
- Business related bachelor’s degree
- .10-15 years of relevant professional experience in corporate leadership, relationship management, alumni relations, business development, advancement, consulting, recruiting, or related professional environments.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and organizational skills.
- Experience in collaborating with organizations to achieve stated objectives.
Preferred
- MBA or other graduate degree.
- Comfortable using the latest office technology.

Pay Grade: 53
Typical Starting Pay: $35.00 to $45.50 an hour
