Performs HVAC mechanical/electrical duties at the factory trained level of proficiency on chilled water systems, commercial VRF systems and secondary HVAC air and water systems.
EDUCATION
Required:
High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred:
Formal OJT or Apprentice Program.
Completion of a two-year vocational training program or apprenticeship training program in related HVAC field.
EXPERIENCE
Required:
Five years of journey level experience in a VRF mechanical and electrical field.
Factory certified training from VRF manufacturer.
Preferred:
Five years of experience in commercial HVAC mechanical and electrical field.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Required:
Proficient with commercial DX systems, central plant equipment, and secondary HVAC air and water systems, pumps, heat exchangers.
Preferred:
Ability to handle multiple priorities.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
Required:
Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License and have a good driving history. May not have more than two moving violations in a three-year period.
Type III certification for refrigerant recovery/recycling as established by the EPA.
Preferred:
University certification.
