Job Summary

St. Francis Borgia Grade School, a vibrant Catholic school community in the heart of Washington, is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Aide - Aftercare to supervise students in the school's aftercare program. The Aftercare Aide plays a key role in providing a safe, structured, and welcoming environment for students after school hours.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise and engage with students during after-school hours in a safe and supportive setting.
  • Organizing activities, games, and snacks for children ranging from preschool through 8th grade.
  • Monitor student behavior and ensure compliance with school and program guidelines.
  • Support a positive, faith-filled environment that reflects the values of St. Francis Borgia School.
  • Help with cleanup and maintaining a tidy, organized space at the end of each session.
  • Communicate any concerns or incidents to the Aftercare Director in a timely manner.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students at all times.

Job Requirements

  • Experience working with children in a school, daycare, camp, or similar setting preferred.
  • Ability to manage groups of children in a calm, nurturing, and effective manner.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be dependable, patient, and flexible.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.
  • Completion of Archdiocesan Safe Environment training and background screening required.
