The Role

Accelerate your growth within our engineering team as we build the future of sovereign AI. This three-month stint pairs rigorous mentorship with high-stakes building, tasking you with developing the core agentic workflow of II-Agent for our global community of users.

We’re looking for an AI Engineer Intern with a strong base in Python and web development to help build a conversational function for II-Agent. You will architect and build scalable, production-grade systems that bring cutting-edge AI agents into the hands of real users, based in Ho Chi Minh City.

Work alongside expert mentors to architect scalable AI infrastructure and user-facing agents, gaining hands-on experience in transforming cutting-edge research into production-ready applications with the immediate impact of building for real-world users.

The Responsibilities

• Collaborate with LLM/VLM Training Engineers to integrate models into interactive applications.

• Build and test backend APIs (Python, FastAPI, Flask) for chatbot or agent workflows.

• Support frontend interface development for chat and visualization (React/Next.js preferred).

• Assist with data preparation and evaluation pipelines for LLM/VLM fine-tuning or RAG workflows.

• Implement and test retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) components using vector databases (Qdrant, Pinecone, FAISS).

• Help monitor, analyze, and improve chatbot response quality and performance.

• Contribute to prompt design, model integration, and A/B testing with real user data.

The Requirements — Must Have

• Student or recent graduate in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.

• Strong Python programming skills; familiar with FastAPI, Flask, or Django.

• Basic understanding of machine learning, NLP, or computer vision concepts.

• Some knowledge of frontend technologies (React, HTML/CSS, or TypeScript).

• Familiar with APIs, Git, and Docker.

• Good analytical thinking, curiosity, and teamwork skills.

Nice to Have

• Active GitHub repository.

• Knowledge of agent/ LLM concepts and frameworks.

• Passion for AI, problem-solving, and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.

The Rewards

The Process

1. HR Interview: If shortlisted, you will be invited to a 20-30 minute call with HR covering role expectations, work culture, and any related logistical details.

2. Assignment: You will be given a technical assignment to submit within a few days to be considered for the next round.

3. Technical Interview: Discuss your knowledge and experience in backend coding and problem solving (on-site participation in Ho Chi Minh city encouraged).
