Danaher Science and Technology (S&T) Office is tasked with fostering long-term expansion of Danaher’s Diagnostics, Life sciences, and Biotechnology platforms through a dual approach of internal and external innovation. The S&T office’s core functions include:

• Setting Danaher’s science and technology strategy.
• Enhancing the company’s portfolio of innovative solutions by pursuing organic growth and strategic alliances across all application domains.
• Establishing Danaher as a leading voice in the healthcare sector, enhancing its academic influence and brand reputation.
• Encouraging the dissemination of innovation best practices and nurturing a culture of innovation within the organization.

The AI & Data Science Senior Manager, Danaher China will develop and deploy AI/ML models and analytic tools to solve critical challenges in healthcare, lead and drive innovation projects in partnership with internal cross-functional teams and external collaborators. This position reports to Chief Scientific Officer, Danaher China.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Partner with web lab scientists/clinicians to translate medical/scientific challenges into technical solutions.
• Design, train and validate AI/ML models and collaborate with software engineers to deploy models into applications.
• Process and analyze clinical and research data. Identify innovation opportunities such as novel biomarkers, integrated algorithms and so on.
• Develop and execute partnership strategies, including pharmaceutical companies, biotechs, academic institutions, hospital leaders and government entities, to advance Danaher’s innovations strategy.
• Coordinate global and China cross-functional teams, with a focus on driving and implementing BEACON, Nexus, Pioneer, and open innovation initiatives.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies. Pinpoint innovation technologies which can streamline drug discovery, biologics production, cell and gene therapy development.
• Facilitate engagement with R&D and business leaders and providing AI/data science training and education.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ph.D./Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Life Science, Biomedical Engineering, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• Proficient in Python/R and cloud platform.
• Experience in the Life Sciences/ Pharmaceutical/Diagnostics industries; familiar with related applications and technologies, patents and other intellectual property.
• Experience having led or contribute to meaningful R&D and/or Innovation projects.
• Established research track record as evidenced by publications and/or professional accomplishments.
• Experience in project management, partnership management, partnership strategy development, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent cross-culture interpersonal, organization, communication and influencing skills, in both Chinese and English.
• Ability to influence various stakeholders to effect change and achieve results in a dynamic, complex environment.
• Have active and relevant professional and/or academic network.
