AI Apprentice

Purpose

This role contributes to the identification, design, and industrialization of innovative AI and Augmented Reality (AR) solutions supporting digital transformation in industrial environments.

The apprentice will play a key role in exploring use cases, validating business value, and supporting the development of scalable solutions in collaboration with AI and digital teams.

Key Missions

1. Use Case Identification & Business Value

• Explore and assess AI and AR use cases across industrial operations (manufacturing, maintenance, quality, EHS, etc.)
• Identify opportunities with strong business impact (productivity, quality, safety, cost optimization)
• Support prioritization based on feasibility and ROI

2. Prototyping & Experimentation

• Design and build Proofs of Concept (POCs) in AI and/or AR
• Test hypotheses using real-world datasets and operational scenarios
• Evaluate results and validate relevance with business stakeholders

3. Solution Development & Industrialization

• Contribute to the development of scalable solutions with AI teams
• Support transition from POC to industrialized solutions
• Ensure compliance with architecture, data governance, and quality standards

4. Coordination & Collaboration

• Act as a bridge between business teams, data scientists, and digital/IT teams
• Coordinate with AI experts to accelerate solution delivery
• Facilitate communication and alignment on use cases and priorities

5. Data Analysis & Technical Contribution

• Analyze data and contribute to model/algorithm development
• Apply coding best practices within defined quality standards
• Support validation and documentation of solutions

Profile & Other Information

Education

• Currently pursuing a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or a related field. 

Experience

• First exposure (academic or internship) to AI, data science, or AR technologies
• Experience with coding and prototyping projects is a plus

Technical Skills

• Programming (Python preferred)
• Basic knowledge of AI/Machine Learning concepts
• Interest in AR/VR technologies or industrial digital solutions
• Data analysis and statistics fundamentals
• Understanding of software development lifecycle
